This post light is absolutely beautiful. The glass is thick tempered glass with ribs in it. It looks like it came from a lighthouse. Also, the light itself is made from metal and not from plastic so it should withstand many years of nature's abuse. It is very well made and super sturdy. Installation is easy. Very elegant and exceptional looking light to grace any big post or column you have or want to build! I would definitely recommend this light.
This pillar light arrived on time and in perfect condition in great packaging. I actually connected this to my low voltage system easily with a low voltage bulb, not the one that came with the fixture. We live beachside in Florida and I think the materials are great quality and will stand up to the salty environment. We really thinks it 'caps' off the mailbox pillar handsomely and that the price is reasonable. The whole thing adds to our curb appeal. Two thumbs up.
